Stamps

This week I held a class and we made four cards using the Fifth Avenue Floral stamp set. I really like this stamp set. It's another one of those sets that I tend to like more and more each time I use it.
Here is one of the cards from that class. There are a few things I would like to point out about self inking stamps . First off, this was a smaller class so when I cut the paper I cut just enough paper. I didn't have extra to even make a sample ahead of time. I guess I could have cut more paper, but I really didn't want to.
So - while I had an "idea" of what I wanted the finished card to look like, I didn't have it nailed down. The Kraft layer I ran through the Big Shot using the polka dot texture plate on a rubber stamp. Just let me say I was quiet disappointed with this particular plate. You can barely see the raised polka dots. Had I made a sample ahead of time I would have known that and I would have chosen to use a polka dot embossing folder from another company.

Something that I have always enjoyed but don’t usually have the opportunity to enjoy are the Broadway Shows that are always so wonderful to watch and experience. We just don’t get to New York very often, which is a shame since it really isn’t all that far away. There is so much to see and do that it is hard to fit it all into one trip it seems.
